The Safety Policy Framework is now online! This document outlines Monte Sereno’s safety policy direction, specifically concerning wildfire mitigation and evacuation. It proposes updated goals and policies based on the 2008 General Plan, as well as updates to incorporate updates to State law and climate science.

You can review this document and more on the project website, as well as provide your thoughts and input on the ongoing process. The project team is planning to bring forward a public review draft of the Safety Element in fall 2025 and the adoption of the rest of the General Plan Update in summer 2026.
