The Public Review Draft Health & Safety Element for public review is now online! The document is an update of the existing Health & Safety Element to respond to updates in State law. It identifies the city’s fire, earthquake, flood risks, hazardous materials, noise and air quality issues, discusses emergency and disaster preparedness as well as climate risk. The element includes identification and analysis of emergency evacuation routes and a climate vulnerability assessment. This document also proposes updated goals, policies, and actions based on the 2008 General Plan, state law requirements, and your survey feedback.
