Third and Final Survey is Live!

The project team has opened its third (and final) survey! Questions cover transportation, open space, environmental justice, and more. Your input is crucial as it will help us shape General Plan policies in order to reflect residents’ lifestyles, future opportunities, and key concerns.

Help Shape the Next Phase of the General Plan

With the Health & Safety Element adopted on December 2, 2025, the project team is now focusing on the Policy Framework and updates to the remaining elements of the General Plan. The elements include Land Use, Circulation, Open Space/Conservation, and more. Environmental Justice is a new state requirement and will be addressed throughout the elements.

This spring, the Draft Policy Framework will be published online. The Draft Policy Framework will outline the goals, policies, and actions of the 2008 General Plan and will propose updates that are necessary to meet new requirements in State law. The project team will provide the Draft Policy Framework and the Public Review Draft General Plan in a Joint Site and Architectural Commission/City Council Study Session in Spring 2026. General Plan adoption is planned for summer 2026.
